Children between foreigner and Egyptian

I would like to ask about this situation...I am EU citizen and my partner is Egyptian. If I get married to him and have children with him.

1. Is there any reason why should I apply for Egyptian citizenship /passport? (what are pros and cons of getting it?)

2.If my child will get dual nationality, so my EU passport but also Egyptian one, and we will be living in Egypt (both muslims), does that mean I cannot travel outside of Egypt with child without father agreement?

I have heard now about something called travel ban, which according to my informations if I get Egyptian citizenship, my future husband could ban me from traveling outside of Egypt, same goes if my children would have Egyptian passports. There was also said something about "special paper" that husband can give to wife which tells she is allowed to travel with child freely until child is 18 years old. I am not quite familiar with this topic so I would like to know if there is way how to avoid thing such as travel ban.

@Egypt_questions in response to point 3… if you believe your partner is the type of guy that could be capable of limiting your freedom of movement… surely you don't trust him enough to marry him..? Just something to consider

@Peony_xo

Here it is little more complicated as it is marriage between 2 culture and countries. My trust is one thing, but my family trust is sadly low because of stories you can read all over the internet. They agreed under condition we will be careful about it, which means strict  pre-marriage contract and this is something new they also discovered and basically I just need to know how it works in order to calm them down and also to "prevent" it again in order so they would be calm.

@Egypt_questions hopefully someone else can confirm but, from what I recall if your partner is Egyptian Muslim then yes he has the right to forbid you from leaving the country. Indeed there are two different cultures involved, but the main thing is compatibility whether he's an Egyptian national or Chinese… if he loves and respects you enough (in a healthy way) then he wouldn't dare to do something to hurt or alienate you.

Marriage is a big decision in Egypt and definitely not one to be taken lightly, especially where there's kids or property involved. The benefit of obtaining citizenship would be if you wanted to have more rights there of course
